Rules of the Bizzaro world

I have a theory that our planet entered into the Bizzaro world at some point in 2016. I saw earlier this week that Knox County, Tenn. Mayor Glenn Jacobs, also known as the masked WWE wrestler Kane (Bizzaro world-worthy in itself) voted against wearing facemasks in public. I’ll say that again: somebody who was basically a professional mask-wearer for over 20 years voted against their use to prevent a pandemic.

Supporting my theory further is the fact that the right-wing echo chamber platform, Parler has rules that are more defined and enforced than Facebook or Twitter. My personal favorite rule is their stance on fecal matter. For something so specific to be featured that prominently, you know some 💩 went down in the past. Parler: you can be racist, but don’t you DARE talk about poopy pants.

To be honest, it’s all a mess. Platform A will do something the right doesn’t like and will be labeled as “Bill Gates/George Soros pro-vaccine liberal propaganda.” The next day it’ll do something us lefties don’t like and we’ll label it a right-wing mouthpiece. Then in the middle, you have your centrist devil’s advocates crying “FREEZE PEACH” so much that you’d think they were selling frozen fruits.

Why are we here, again?

👁👄👁 is the real deal

Last week, I talked about 👁👄👁, the enigmatic social account promising to reveal itself more gloriously than Paul Reubens did that one time. Understandably, I was cautious. However, after seeing their statement and can proudly say that they are the real deal. No right ring trolls here! On top of directing visitors to great causes, the group of technologists behind it are putting the industry on blast. The idea is to get the tech/social industry to think more about how it views race.

For me, this is also a great reminder of the fact that you no longer need a product to be seen. Intangible assets FTW, folks.

We’re ready to Phly

As you all know. We’ve been working on a little something-something for a while now. After research, designing, building, tweaking, and testing, we think we’re as ready as ever to show you what’s going on.

As an agency, we got really sick of having to turn down great small businesses because they couldn’t afford our agency rates. We couldn’t lower our costs because agency margins are so 💩 (I guess this post isn’t going on Parler!) and it would put us at risk. We knew there had to be a middle ground somewhere. Somewhere where we could survive as an agency that wasn’t (and didn’t ever want to be) one of the big boys, and be able to offer SMBs agency expertise at decent prices. With that being said…

Phlywheel officially launches on MONDAY JULY 13TH.

Don’t look at me like that. I’ve made you laugh enough times to at least be able to mention our brand at least once, right?

If you’re still not sure, here’s a free webinar to show you the kind of expert guests we’ll bring in.

In any case, there’s a 7-day free trial to our DIY marketing community and learning platform.
